Markets and Mexican Food in München

Once we all had breakfast and got moving for our day, we walked to the nearby tram stop and rode it into the old town for sightseeing.

Our first destination was a market where we browsed some of the food and goods for sale in the stalls. It was hot, so we decided it ice cream was a good choice for our market purchases. Then, out of the blue, Perla asks for chips and guacamole. There is never NOT a good time for that combo for Greg and I, so we set off for a nicely rated Mexican restaurant. Of course it wasn’t air conditioned, but it was out of the heat and we all squeezed into a booth. We happily dug into the appetizer with promise of another change to get a better meal later on. We had some drinks, used the WC which had a great place to change Diane’s diaper, then set off to see the Marienplatz. We saw the façade and then saw some sources for air conditioning. We explored the Rathaus tower (as it was nice and cool) then set off for the Hofbrauhaus.

We checked the box off for getting a Maß of bier, some schweinhaxe, pretzels, and a gingerbread cookie for Perla which she ate right away. By the time we were done eating and drinking, it was almost time for the cuckoo clock in Marienplatz to go off.

We gathered around like every other tourist to see such a simple show, and then set off to a tram stop for our return to the hotel. We hung out in the lobby for a little bit and then grabbed some snacks from the executive lounge. The rest of the night was saved for some pre-packing to travel to Stuttgart tomorrow.
