Making things right in Munich

Today was an opportunity to fix a couple of things. One of them was the AdBlue error with our vehicle and one was our seats for the return flight from France.

Our car rental began showing a warning for a liquid needed for diesel vehicles here called AdBlue. This was a pain because back home we don’t deal with fuel at all since we drive electric vehicles. This wasn’t just fuel but it’s an additive to make the fuel run better. What a pain!
After filling up the AdBlue twice ourselves and the warning light still threatening our vehicle won’t start until we do, it was time to call Avis. They said to stop at a nearby office, which we did in Innsbruck. They reiterated a better office to go to is in Munich so we can switch out cars. The issue with that is we would need a vehicle with 7 seats which seems hard to find. It took stopping at a smaller Avis for them to call around to find a place with a car of that size. Which, they DID find! So off to the Avis Munich Hauptbahnhof for the switch to our VW Touran.

This day we were also blessed to have cousin Claire join us for the remaining of our trip. She arrived earlier that morning and watched the kids for us while we ran around down taking care of business.
When we were all finally together it was time to find a late lunch, which was a Biergarten by the Seehaus in the English Garten. There were lots of choices, but then there were also lots of bees/wasps/flies to accompany us. I’m sure this wasn’t the welcoming meal Claire was expecting, but we all made due and returned back to the air conditioned hotel to escape the heat. Claire and I walked to the nearby grocery store to get some snacks for the evening, and we all got some rest to rebound for a full day of Munich exploring tomorrow.
