The days agenda included laundry and pool time, with exploration of the little beachside town of Les Sablettes.
Laundry was so well configured in a shop across the street from the hotel. I had some great (motioned) help from a guy managing the self-serve shop, and I was able to take care of what I felt was a full suitcase of clothes. Other customers there were both local and also tourists, and none of us felt the need to stay in the shop to watch the clothes from being stolen. We just wanted to make sure our loads were ready to move to the next step after each cycle.
The pool was small but perfect for what we needed. It was a salt water pool and Diane spent some time in it within her floatie. She of course then napped (ugh, babies AMIRIGHT?) then we all got ourselves ready to find some food. The specific request received was ‘pizza’ so that was the goal. Well, at that time of the day seemed to be a siesta and all the sit-down restaurants with outdoor seating and in plastic chairs seemed to be offering a limited menu. We found one pizzeria on the coast and happily ordered two beers and two ice creams. Guess who ordered what!
We walked further, found what I discovered to be the BEST carousel in the world, then walked some more to find a playground. When decent pizza places opened at 7pm, we showed up to discover that reservations were a baseline requirement
